Thomas C. Leppert was elected Mayor of Dallas in June 2007. Previously he was chairman of the board and chief executive officer of The Turner Corporation, the leading general builder in the United States. Before joining Turner, Mr. Leppert served as trustee of the estate of James Campbell. Other past positions include president and chief executive officer of Castle & Cooke Properties, Inc., vice chairman of Pacific Century Financial Corp. and its largest subsidiary, Bank of Hawaii. Previously, he was a principal with the international consulting firm McKinsey & Company and was a national partner with the Trammell Crow Company. In 1984, Mr. Leppert was appointed by President Reagan as a White House Fellow.
